Here's a picture of the new front grills for the NH tractors, I saw this yesterday at the Raleigh Farm Show. Don't know, but I like the current Boomer look. Salesman said all NH line would have this front look to them over the next few years. Argh /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

The change may be for function rather than looks. When the lights are stacked, it may be easier to see over the FEL at night. Right now, on my Boomer, the factory lights are mostly blocked.

I love it. I am often doing work well after dark and the more lights the better!!! It's nice to see this happening. If you have ever been out at night farming you will know exactly what I'm talking about. I really don't see it as a fashion statement but more functional.

I worked for a company operating a TD15 Dresser, We got behind on the job and We had to operate alot at night. Most of the other machines had enough lights but the dozer didnt. I had some 24 volt landing lights off an old airplane, I ounted them on my Dresser and off i went. My boss said i looked like a ufo out in the rockfill. Most loader equiped tractors dont have sufficient light, I mounted lights on the sides of my loader frame mon my hoe where i could see the back corner of my bucket.

I couldn't agree more with doc. You can never have too many lights. I realize that some designers might want to have a stylish tractor, but at least make additional lights an option, particularly for tractors with a FEL. None of the tractors I have seen offer a good solution. We are left to develop them on our own. Sometimes I think the people who design the tractors never actually use them. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Like the cab...don't like the front end. BUT if it makes for easier FEL operation at night than function wins out over form!

The grill kind of looks like the grill of a 1934 Chrysler Airflow, not that I'm old enough to remember them. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
