Talking with Kubota salesman today. He will be attending a meeting in Oct for the new series of compact tractors. I was considering a trade-in on my 3710 Kub for a 4330 with cab but may wait for new line. He is letting his current inventory run down to make room for new line. Anyone hear anything about changes?.

Yep. My dealer told me the same thing a few months back. I was thinking of trading my L3830 for a 5030. He said that if I could wait I might be better off ihn the longrun.

There is a big, really cool change comming to the L-Series. If you can wait, it may not be a bad idea. Be aware that it will probably be next spring before the new models arrive and they likey will carry a higher price tag.

Neil, it is my understanding that the "really cool change" is going to be a very innovative and unique change that may well prove to be an evolutionary change to tractors that other manufacturers will likely try to copy. :p

My dealer just told me that Kubota has changed the entire L series line to incorporate the curved loader and hood. It really sounds like Kubota is just playing catch-up. His thought regarding the change is that it is more of a gimic that anything substantial. He also told me that the ZD series is being redesigned.

If you want my opinion, if there is a new change coming out and dealers are letting the inventory sell off, NOW is the time to buy. First run vehicles of all types will have more bugs and glitiches. Actually, now is the better time to SELL your current tractor and this fall will be the better time to buy a larger one of the old style.

Like I said, just my opinion....

Curved loader arms and hood is not what I was refering to. This seems the norm now, and frankly I don't always like it.

The only time I don't like the curved loader arms is when something bulky is in the bucket, and then starts rolling/sliding out of the bucket and down the arms toward me. But that's only happened twice when I first got the machine, and the second time I was ready for it.

Spoke with salesman again today, he said he should be getting some information by mid Sept. for meeting in Oct. He'll get me the info when it arrives. They will place order for tractors at the Oct. meeting and typically will begin receiving tractors in Jan. I will post more information when I get it.

Off main topic, sorry.

I've had the same problem with logs rolling back. Picture shows how I stopped it. Note the upward extending forks on the top of the bucket.
