I am looking at a new GL5740 (No Cab), R4 tires, with a Kubota LA854 FEL, a 4 in 1 Bucket for the FEL, with a 3rd function Hydrolic, a Bush Hog BH850 backhoe with a sub-frame mount, and 3 rear remote Hydrolic valves for future TNT functions. Price is $39,300.

This seemed like a good price, but I am wondering what you all think.

I payed about 33.000 for 5740 with r4s 3 remote & cammond 72' box blade which cost about 2600. I guess the quick connect for the fel is standard. Also I think its a great machine. I have 50+ hrs and no problems. My breakin was take it easy for about 5 hrs then put it to work.

Gee for that much you could have an L48, 2x the machine.....compare the spec.s. Just a thought.

Curtis,

I actually started out wanting and looking at the L48, but decided that the inability to remove the fEL was problem for me. I have to manuever around some very tight spaces in the woods on our property, and did not believe that I could do it with a loader on the front. I love the strength of the L48 and believe that it would have been a better machine for me 80% of the time, but that 20% is REALLY critical to what I was buying the tractor for in the first place.
