Kubota L5460 4wd w/LA1055 Loader/ Rear Top and Tilt
I've had a L5460 on order for over a month now and my dealer told me today it was on the truck from Tx to be delivered here soon as it came "fresh" from the factory.

Dealer is to install the top n tilt kit and 3rd function kit for the front 1055 loader.

Is there anything I should check before delivery? Will post pics of the unboxing and assembly of the tractor.

DECIDE WHEEL SPREAD - WHEELS SHIP UNATTACHED TO CHASSIS

With R1/ag tires dealer can attach rear wheels to provide any one of four wheel widths.

With R4/industrial tires dealer can attach rear wheels to provide any one of three wheel widths.

Whatever width you choose MAKE SURE THE WHEEL NUTS ARE TIGHT, TIGHT, TIGHT, front and rear.

Pre-delivery is the easiest time for dealer to "load" rear tires with liquid, if you choose that option.

I run over residential lawns regularly. My R4/industrial tires are filled only with air. I do not mark lawns in 2-WD mode.

If your work area in Arkansas includes hills, you probably want rear tires 3/4 filled with liquid to lower the tractor's center-of-gravity, improving stability.

A few things to consider after delivery:

Tom Seller I sure will, hopefully I'll have it by this time next week..

Jeff9366 I went with the R4/industrial tires, should I have them mount them in the middle position? Yes I'm going to have dealer to "load" rear tires with liquid for ballast.

I also was considering having the front cutting edge installed($225) on the bucket but not sure that I need it.

Going to take a look at your mod suggestions..

Unless you are going to use a Moldboard Plow, spread between tires is not critical.

If you have existing implements, spread to be sure tires are within width of widest implements.
If you will buy new implements, spread to be sure tires will be within width of new implements. (Probably 72" working width implements.)

If your ground is sloped, consider the widest spread for stability.

If you will work in the trees, consider how wide a gap there is between most trees. (I have a 60" L3560 because a 66" L5460 was too wide for my hardwoods.)

You can delay decision on front cutting edge.

Having tire spread options is one nice feature of Grand Ls, not found on many new tractors today.

Check to see how fast the TnT & rear valves leak down. If it's more than an inch an hour or so the valves are out of spec, which I hear isn't uncommon at all. I think mine on my newish L4060 have excessive leakage , but am awaiting my good FitRite TnT cylinders to test.

Not that you will likely have time to check that on delivery.

Keep us posted on what you find out.

I have 3 rear remotes and all of them leak down making my HYD side link pretty useless without having to constantly adjust.

Hopefully your will be better.

Tractor still hasn't made it to the dealer.. Dealer said there waiting to get a full load to transport since last Thursday, said they have have more tractors coming in on that load and don't know what the hold up is...

Is there anyway to contact the grapevine office and check on it myself?

I have been waiting on my L6060/backhoe/4n1 loader for what will be 8 weeks on Thursday. Dealer hopes to have it here and assembled by the end of next week. I am getting my tires filled and 600 lbs of wheel weight. 2 functions in the rear and a fiberglass canopy. I believe we deserve at least a hat for the wait.
