Folks,

Thanks for all the information from this board, been listening mostly. I posted a few weeks ago on the New holland board TC33 vs L3130, and more recently with a picture of my new machine. I figured I should at least post in the Kubota forum to make all ya'll feel good. Bought the machine in Georgia. Let me know if anyone listening in from this area would like purchase details....happy so far.

Congratulations!

As a new owner of an L3830 I couldn't be any more pleased with my selection and I think you will be the same.

Just need to find me a canopy of some type that sun is pure torture.

Again, that's a ncie tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif What's on the back? Is that a boompole?

My father in law wanted a boom pole for the times the loader wasn't on the tractor and we needed to do some work that wouldn't justify the installation of the loader. The dealer through it in the deal for $70, supposedly his cost. I couldn't find one around here for that price.

I just got an L3130 a couple months ago or so. I'm pretty happy with it, but there are a couple of things I'm finding out. The pistons under the seat need replaced already. The seals are broken.
I like the cruise control and use it a lot. It seems better than using the pedal, especially when going over bumpy ground. I think the HST pedal moves too easily and a little fluctuation in your foot can cause speed surges. I still haven't found a good way to prevent this when going in reverse. On my old B7500, I could brace/steady my leg on the tractor when half turned in the seat, not with the 3130, the pedal is too far forward.
And while removing and cleaning the engine screen isn't hard... I don't like the extra step of raising the loader and taking the side panel off to slide the screen out.

It's been a real workhorse for brush hogging, though and I'm trying to think of a good project to try it out on. The extra size of the loader compared to what I used to have is real nice when spreading gravel around and it's very stable. Still haven't gotten the nerve up to boxblade the driveway, yet. Maybe this fall...

Congrats, I have the same tractor.. You'll love it.

as for the boom pole.. be careful with that thing.. they don't lift much. I got one from Tractor supply and found out the hard way (trying to budge rocks) that 500 pound limit isn't much.

I added a BH-90 last fall. Should have done that when i bought the tractor!

I would like to know some purchase details.. I am looking for a 3130 also. which dealer did you purchase the kubota from? what was the total price? I am looking to get a tractor, but I need to sell my 68 Firebird first. Anyone interested in it shoot me a PM.

cknott,

That loader looks like a similar setup to my LA853 on a L4330. If so, you may find that your loader comes off and on about as fast as the boom pole. Sure has been a pleasure bush hogging without a loader on, now that its so easy to remove.
