Hey, I need a digital camera to take pics of my new toy....I mean tractor...any suggestions...I know nothing of cameras...

I bought a Minolta Dimage -7 and still can't figure it out.

Neither can my EE.

I have an older Sony FD-83 that i've been very happy with. But, since it uses the old 3 1/2 floopy to store pics i'm looking to add to my digital family. I do not know much about the cameras myself, but came across this review you might find helpful.

I use the DiMAGE 5 at work and it works great. What is the problem you are having? Taking the picture or downloading it to your computer?

We just picked up the Kodak DX4900 "Shareware" camera system. It's a snap to use. Without hardly even reading the manual, we loaded the software, took a pile of pictures, downloaded to the computer, printed out "picture quality" prints, e-mailed all of 'em across country, and even attached a couple to a post on TBN! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

My wife's an interior designer, and now she's running around with it taking black & white pictures that she's going to blow up and use as "art work" in a Parade of Homes house she's working on.

I can't say how sophisticated the Kodak might be compared to other cameras, but it does a great job for us. We got it on sale, down to $299 from $499 /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif, and that included $180.00 worth of attachments, etc. We got it through our local OfficeMax store.

Thanks for the info, I have a buddy who has a Kodak 3500 I believe and he seem real happy with his....I'll check it out.

I'd suggest buying from www.bhphoto.com in New York. I've purchased several items from them. Their prices seem to be among the lowest, their selection is huge, and the delivery is very quick.

BTW, I have a Sony 3.1 megapixel digital camera and is the absolute BEST thing I've ever bought! My daughter is 13 months old and I have over 650 digital pictures just of her! I would never have taken that many photos with a regular camera. I did print some out, and have them framed. They look just as good as regular photos. The only downside is when I print them I use the highest resoultion on my printer, and this takes about 20 minutes for 4 3X5 photos on a page, and really sucks up the color ink.

Frank, nice looking pic....I've got 47 hrs on mine...my problemis I don't get enough tractor time in...its a great machine...I have to get a camera...need more pic's before I get it all scratched up...
