New Kubota service manual

Dang. My $167 service manual for my new L47 TLB arrived from Kubota yesterday. All loose pages. They can not bind it, or even provide a binder to house the info? Pretty lame, in my opinion.

I like printed manuals too, and try to get them on any large purchase. What you see is not a recent change in their manuals. Ours for the M59 came the same way in 2009. Maybe it's a TLB thing??

What I got back then were loose leaf pages - a nice tight stack - in a cellophane wrapper. Is that what you got? It shows decent quality printing on decent paper. Not the best of either, but good. Frankly I'd rather have the workshop manual unbound this way so that it lays flat in a large binder. The paper & printing quality is much better now than it was back when Kubota used to produce bound workshop & parts manuals.

I was told that the idea of the loose leafs was to make annual updates easier, but although I paid for that service I ever only received two updates....and both of those within a year of purchase. Nothing since.

IMHO the best workshop manuals ever were the older John Deere & Yanmar manuals back when both companies were still separate.

Hey Scotty,
Yep, it came loose leaf wrapped in cellophane.
I've come to the conclusion that it's a good thing. Headed to the city on Wednesday for stores/errands. On the list is to stop in to Kinkos and have them copy/spiral bind me a copy for the shop, and put one copy on a zip drive.

I faired a little better in 2007 when I got the books for the B3030 cab model.

The WSM was loose pages and the parts manual was spiral bound-both in the same generic black binder.

My cab supplement was also loose pages in another black binder.

A little better,I guess!

My dealer gave me a nice orange Kubota binder.

The binder would make it the next size larger shipping box= more $$. So, you got a bargain. I would prefer they just provide a CD and forget the paper copy. Then I can print just what I need when I need it. My holes are starting to wear out.
