New Guy here - But glad to see I'm not the only one! I have had six new Kubota tractors and my last three have been Grand L's with fully loaded cabs. Latest one L3940 HST. Bought the tractor end of 2013 just as mowing season was ending. From day one, this machine has had a very noisy hydraulic system, steering that binds up and is jerky, loader leak down and other issues! First one I have owned that had any problems at all and it seems I'm getting pay back for such a great journey with Kubota.... I only bought this tractor because it was the last year before all the pollution crap which was forcing the movement of the fuel tank down under the tractor so there would be enough room under the hood for the "junk"! This new tractor has been a nightmare to say the least . I have been totally flabbergasted by the responses from Kubota Reps... Did you know - 3 to 4 inches of leak down in 20 to 30 minutes is an "ACCEPTABLE RANGE" For Kubota? Screaming hydraulic noise in the cab while mowing is also "ACCEPTABLE & within Kubota Specs". But when asked to provide these "specs", never happened ! Did you know that not being able to move the steering wheel while standing and at FULL throttle was also "ACCEPTABLE" ? Oh, and the best, if you are in full hydro mode, no stall, auto down shift, and start up a bank and the tractor stops partway up and does not downshift and eventually starts going backward with the hydro pedal at full forward position, you should not complain because this is also "ACCEPTABLE" by Kubota's standards. My dealer is the greatest and held off a sale of my trade-in which was 7 years old and 1300 hrs., so he would have something dependable to give me to use while my NEW tractor was being repaired. The first time I plowed snow with the new one, a control cable broke and would not let the plow go down. I was up against a snow pile and stuck and to make matters worse, I couldn't even move the steering wheel to help me get out! HOWEVER, the dealer brought my trade down to me for the third time to pick up where the new one left off and the 7 year old cable finished the storm and the next two. So, if there is anyone out there that might have some suggestions, VERY MUCH APPRECIATED !!
