My dealer can't seem to do anything about my steering being jerky, actually they have done nothing to it yet. Feels like the fluid is low but it is not, it grabs, sometimes locks for a millisecond and other times just jerky or grabs as you turn.

Anyone else have this issue or have any ideas to what would fix it?

Sure sounds like it is in 4 wheel drive and being driven on a hard surface like black top or concrete.
But the dealer surely should know that.

That is not it, been doing it since I got it, no matter where and getting worse. Had a L4330 before never did this.

It is not me or where I drive it, some mechanical part is failing or bad, they are just no help. I am not that patient either,

I would think a Kubota area rep, if they have such folks, should step in and help with this. Or, another, more competent dealer if one is local.
Anyway, good luck and sorry you are having problems with what should be a joy!

Thanks, I believe in the dealer or I would not have bought as much as I have over the years from them, this is first thing I ever had to have them work on. They even sent a mechanic here to see what I was doing then he got on and said yeah it's jerky.

Problem is what part is it?

I went there, drove a new one, no issue.

Is your 3-point hitch control lever all the way up? I discovered on my new L5460HSTC that if the 3-point hitch lever is moved all the way to the top of the quadrant, the hydraulic system stays on high pressure and all other hydraulic functions either don't work or are very slow and jerky. I adjusted the metal stop to where the hydraulic system raises the hitch to full height and doesn't continue to try to raise the hitch and stay on pressure. Move the lever back about 1/4 to 1/2-inch from its top most position and see if it changes the jerky steering.

It does not change, loader is weird too. Would you mind calling me and let me ask you questions about your tractor since we have the same tractor.

Call my office if you don't mind, ask for Todd.

You could adjust the nuts on the feedback rod so as rockshaft control valve neutralizes when RS reaches the top of it's stroke to eliminate the problem.

My 4240 is the same I think. See if this sounds like yours. As long as the steering wheel is moving it is fine, but stop in any position for a second and it takes an effort to get it moving again, if it was in in the same area I would think flat spot, but it does it anywhere all of the time. When driving on the road it is constant fighting and the tractor wondering a little before you can get it to turn a little. My tractor is 4 yrs old with 750 hours. It used to steer "normal" but started a year ago doing what I described above, any help would be appreciated, I have checked front end it is free, dropped the spindle to test this and the spindles are free. It has to be hydraulic in my opinion, and the cylinder has been rebuilt so the only thing left is the controller and it is very expensive.
