New Kubota is on the Way!

I'M SICK OF WAITING!!! My new tractor still isn't here. It is down in Columbus OH at a Kubota distribution center waiting for a truck to bring it up. I stopped in at the dealer yesterday and told them that if it wasn't here by this Wednesday I wanted to drive down and pick it up myself. I have a truck and trailer and it is only a 5.5 hour trip each way. He got real appologetic and told me that it was already loaded on a semi-trailer and they were just waiting on the truck. So I'm still in a holding pattern...waiting. What is bad is that once it gets to the dealer they will have it a few more days mounting the loader and other options on it. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Fellow AC fans,

We had a WD that we used to put up hay while I was a kid. My Dad still has our old RC back there waiting for me to come and pick it up. I plan to do a frame up restoration on it and keep it around for old times sake. My Grandpa just sold his WC about a year or so ago.

Guess ORANGE tractors are in my blood since I just bought a Kubota this past winter.

I just got a call from the dealer and it looks like next week at the soonest before it comes in. Ouch! They are great people though. They said to stop buy and pick out any tractor on the lot for a loaner until mine comes in. I'm not sure whether I should take advantage of their offer. I have alot of work to do but I hate to wear out my welcome.

My grandfather farmed with AC tractors in southern Indiana near a small town called Stewartsville. When he died in the mid 1980's they sold his WD and D17 series 4. I have been trying to buy them back for the last few years but the current owners will not sell. The WD is worth about $1200 and I offered $2500 and they still won't sell.

Be careful what you wish for. The dealer said that I can use a new M9000 with a cab and FEL. I asked hinm to look for a smaller one. The M9000 would crush my trailer!

I would take them up on their offer.You can get to work and play with their machine tell yours comes in,and put some wear and tear on their tractor /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.This will help take your mind off of the wait.Just be sure to get a tractor smaller than yours so you will be impressed when you get your own.By the way I am in the same boat as you waiting for a new Kubota excavator that should be here next week,but that will be in a new thread I will start.

I brought home a New Holland TC55DA with an 18LA loader. It is a super smooth running machine. I wish it had wheel weights or filled tires. Even with my tiller on back I have to use 4wd or I get stuck in my yard. It should be a fun weekend, I have lots of work to do with it. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Here is a picture of my 1962 D15. I restored it about 4 years ago. It has factory power steering, wheel weights, and grill guard. I bought a polished stainless steel exhaust stack for it.

Thanks for the kind words. Once I restore a tractor it gets used to bush hog, plow snow, etc... I do always store them inside however. I usually do all of the restoration and painting myself but in the future I would like to have a professional do the paint. I just don't have the patience or a dust free booth.
