Kubota B26 TLB, Allis Chalmers D17 series IV, Kubota ZG-23 Mower, Kubota ZD 1211, Kawasaki Mule 610, Stihl 361, Stihl 045 AV Super, and a Stihl 660 Ported and tuned
Today I ordered a L4330 HSTC, LA853 loader, 72" bucket, Industrial tires loaded with Rim Guard, wheel weights, block heater, cab, radio, rear work lights, corner window defogger, 6' Woods box scraper. It is supposed to be ready next Saturday. This will be the longest week of my life waiting for it to come in.
I want to order a tooth bar but I need the measurement along the cutting edge inside the bucket. It is not at the dealer yet. Does anyone know this dimension for a standard duty 72" Kubota Bucket? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Thanks

Congrads! Im sure you'll love it. You might be astonished at how different it is from those two allis's of yours.

I used to own an allis D14 but nearly suffered a roll over on it. Got rid of my beloved D14 a few months ago. Traded it in on a new L3130, your L4330's kid brother...

Dont be afraid to give up the good to get the better Ive heard...

The Kubota is way better, if you're doing landscaping and general work. The loader is fantastic! It truly is a 5 minute on/off piece of equipment.

But Id keep the D14 if ya can tho, it's still fun to own and drive. (dont let the fellers on allischalmers forum know, tho...heheheh, they might be jealous!)

Have fun and let us know when it comes in!

ANd you'll have to change your name now....maybe Gene4330?

I drove D17 Allis's to bale with as a kid. Wow were those good tractors! If I could find one with a 3PH, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. We never did any maintence other than oil changes and they ran forever.........

I plan on keeping the D14 and D15. They both have 3 point conversion hitches. I use them in parades, hay rides, tractor pull infield help, bush hogging, grading, etc... It is nice to have multiple tractors that you can leave set up and not have to change implements. Life is good! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I'm thinking of getting rid of mine. 3ph is not the best in the world but works.

Motor runs darn good. But lots of other lil things wrong.

Think the hi/low range linkage for the power converter is loose broken. Tranny needs new 2nd and 3rd gear. Hydraulic pump is OK, but the ram needs new seals. Basically a total arse end overhaul.

Only other thing wrong is the generator, it only puts out just a lil juice. Thats no biggie, I know someone who can rebuild it fairly cheap.

Happy to read about another Allis Chalmers enthusiast. I had two D17s in the past; one was a D17 Series IV with factory 3pt hitch. I wish I still had that tractor. One of the best AC tractor's built. They're still around but most have 10,000 plus hours and look it.

D-17 on the baler? I guess I'm older - we used a WD and later a WD-45. I raked with a little B. Cousin got a D-17 and then maybe a D-19? Too far back to remember. Same guy hooked 2 WD-45s in tandem, but the thing was a mile long and didn't turn too well. We were then plowing with an old Case LA, PTO hydraulic. Pulled 5-16s with a packer behind. So much for the old days....
