I'm curious as your comment was that you had superior specifications and features to the other products you considered - one of them being the Massey GC line.

I briefly looked at the LS MT125 website specifications and features and did not see anything superior compared to the GC1715 etc.. Not in fel, not in mower, not in tractor. What were you referring to ?

P.S. Also - the Kubota price quote sure seemed high - did you check with other Kubota dealers too ?

I paid MUCH MUCH MUCH closer to the LS price.....

When I was shopping that was my impression. The GC line seemed very comparable in specs to the MT125. I went with LS because of my experience the dealer and the price.

Unfortunately, there was only 1 kubota dealer locally that I went to. (Only 2 in the whole state, 500 miles apart. Same as JD) they pretty much have a monopoly and set their price point. I pretty much dropped them off the list at the time. As I stated in an earlier post, I was actually ready to get a Massey, their specs were one of the best, and the price was much better, then I came across the mt125. The deciding factor was the 25 hp LS vs the 22 hp Massey. Still saved $1000 w/ the LS over the Massey.

Well here are the differences in the specs that I found, confirmed by the respective dealers that I spoke with.
Loader specs- 1) lift capacity to full height: LS 1005 lbs, MF 678 lbs. 2) breakout force at pin: LS 2079 lbs, MF 1950 lbs. 3) dump angle: LS 46 deg, MF 43 deg. 4) bucket width: LS 50", MF 48".
Backhoe specs- 1) reach: LS 114.9", MF 102". 2) bucket force: LS 2194 lbs, MF 1950 lbs. 3) dipperstick force: LS 1332 lbs, MF 1180 lbs.
tractor pretty much the same except for engine: LS Yanmar 24.7 hp, MF Iseki 22.5 hp. Not much hp difference, but I was told it does make a difference.

Some of the specs are close, some make a difference, some don't. Some of the other colors had a better spec or two, but in general, the LS had more features and better specs that I personally was looking for. I am not kidding when I say I spent 40-50 hours researching and making a side by side spreadsheet comparison, marking the highest and next lower spec in color. Believe me, I did my homework. The wife was ready to forget the purchase (should I say permission?) after she saw how much time I was spending just on the research! The LS has the most " highest colors" when I was done. I personally liked the look and color of the MF. I just couldn't substantiate the color for $1000 more. (I was going to travel 1100 miles to pick up this tractor, both the LS and the MF were within 2 miles of each other).

Make sure you ask them about the rebates.... Some dealers are keeping some of them. There are a few dealers that will ship anywhere in the country at better prices than that!. RCO near Dallas is selling TLB w/ mower for $17,900. I did not get the mower, but got a post hole digger w/ 9" auger, total $6,000 in rebates, final price $16,900. (No tax because out of state).

Oh, also forgot the 3 pt hitch capacity was 728 lbs @24" for the LS vs 550 lbs @ 24" for the MF. The LS has a 6 yr warranty vs 5 yrs for the MF.

I think you have the wrong specs for the MF. The bucket digging force on the CB65 backhoe is around 2400-2500 lbs. The 3pt on the GC can lift around 1100 lbs. Check the specs for the DL95 loader and CB65 backhoe. My 1710 was around $17k, the 25 hp 1720 was around $19k.

Yes you are correct, I listed the specs for the older dl100 and cb05. The 3 pt spec was for 24" out from the lift, 1100 pounds was force at the 3 pt mount.
