Congrats okiekioti! On your tractor and maintenance. And we love action-pics :D

50 hour maintenance checkoff is in my manual too ('07 CK30HST) and a good thing - new engines and drivetrains shed a lot of fine metal bits as they break in. Run a magnet through your hydraulic oil after changing it, the magnet is loaded. It's normal, and all the oils need changed to get it out of circulation. 50 hrs is the most importantest :~)

(Is that a word?)

+1 as I said above. It is the only service interval that Rick's team even said to let the dealer perform. All others can be DIY.

Thanks guys. I also feel that the 50 hr service is very important. Noticed some metal filings/shavings on the magnet that is on the drain plugs.......Evidence that the oil needed replaced.

Used empty 5 gallon buckets with lids to save the old fluid oil I drained. Maybe I can recycle it somewhere.....

I've went about 6 more hours of brush hogging on my Kioti DK45 since the initial 50 hr service, and all seems to working well.

Good luck to all....

Oh yeah, my transmission filter was also a bit tight when I tried to loosen it at 50 hours, but I got a good oil filter wrench at NAPA for about $10. After a few tries, the tranny filter broke loose and was replaced easily.
