Just got a JD 455. It has a rear PTO, but no 3 pt.
I'm trying to figure out the hydraulics.
Seems like the mower deck lift and rear cylinder for the 3pt share the same lever and you have to turn the valve to switch between the two. The rear cylinder won't move, but it sounds like it's trying.

The head of the pin in the end of the rear cylinder is almost rubbing on the metal PTO shield and has torn the rubber PTO shield
Any thoughts on how to get the rear cylinder working? Stuck valve? Bad cylinder?
I plan on installing a 3 pt, but want to get the rear cylinder working first.

Thanks,
Paul

Thank you for the welcome.

I should add that I have tried the T-Handle valve under the deck, behind the quick connects in both positions. When its cranked all the way out, the mower deck actuates, but the rockshaft does not move. When it cranked all the way in, the mower deck doesn't move, but the rockshaft seems to be trying to move, but sounds like its hitting the bypass.

I have a 455 the lift for 3 pt and deck is the same. Hold up the deck with the deck height adjuster to work the 3 pt only.

The T handle is used to cut off the rear cyl and use both sets of connectors ahead of the footrest for a loader or 4 way front blade. One lever has float position
