New JD 3720 Questions

I give up, how could I possibly be "money ahead" after spending $300 on spacers? I know, figure of speech. But it wouldn't stop at just $300. I'd also then have to replace a new 4-in-1 bucket and a couple thousand dollars worth of TPH implements that all suddenly became too narrow.

I guess I don't understand. Spacers are relatively cheap and wheel weights are more expensive, but would help immensely on hilly terrain. I have mine loaded with Rimguard and extended 4" on each side and the 61" bucket works fine, but I don't live on a hill.

So what if the bucket doesn't totally cover the tracks. I suppose any 3 pt. equipment that is narrow that works on small tractors but don't cover the whole track on a larger tractor might give a person fits now and then.

Replacing a nice tractor like that with a few hours on it might be doable but the trade I would think would be a money loser.
To trade for something you think might be more stable with that horsepower and all those features would be a big tractor with a wide wheel base which is what spacers would do here.

I own an open station 3720 and my observations are as follows:

Cab tractors should roll easier to remind the owners that money cannot insulate them from reality

Was a drive-over auto-attach mid-mount ever made for a 3xxx?

Tippy is relative - Not such a big deal with a 6-foot RC and plenty of downhill area for turnout, terrifying with a loaded bucket and a pond bank cave in

Get in the habit of wearing your seatbelt, if you feel nervous you should change your driving habits, always ballast correctly for your attachment.

Congratulations on your tractor, mine has done everything I have asked of it without complaint. Take Care.
