Hello! New member here, just have a question about a boggling mystery my dad has had with his early 2000's NH TN65 tractor not.cuting off with the key.
This has been going on for a couple of years. He changed the switch, because the battery kept getting drained overnight. That fixed the dead battery issue, but it didnt do anything for the not cutting off. He has to clutch it to kill it now.
NOBODY local has anything else to try except bring it in, or sell it. He is about to that point. Hes been annoyed anyways since he bought it brand new, and the paint flew off the hood within a few years due to bad primer (just like my 2008 ford crown vic did).
This seems simple, but everyone says "it wont CUT OFF, or START?" And we say wont cut off and it puzzles them.
Just a last ditch resort, theres an estate sale this weekend and it may go the highest bidder "as is", and we will cut our losses there if this is gonna end up costing us another thousand dollars or so to figure out.
Thanks in advance for any help.
