New Holland TC45D won't start fuel supply issue

With a conventional system;
If you check the relay bases with the key off one slot should have battery power constantly, that is the power that would feed through the relay. With the key on another slot should have power that would be the signal to the relay to activate.
If it uses a "safety" module all bets are off.

Looking back through this thread, in post #84 is a detailed explanation of the safety module. If this is the system that you have the safety module provides the ground path to activate the relay for the fuel solenoid.

"Terminal C of ignition switch
1. Current flows from the C terminal of the ignition switch to the fuse panel bussbar, from the bussbar current
travels through the 8-amp circuit breaker.
2. The 8-amp circuit breaker supplies current to the operator safety seat switch and the fuel shutoff relay.
Seat switch and operator safety module
1. When the operator is in the seat, the seat switch closes and sends current to terminal E of the operator
safety module.
2. When current is present at terminal E of operator safety module, the ground path is completed by terminals
B and C of module for the fuel shutoff relay.
Fuel shutoff relay
1. When current is provided to the fuel shutoff relay by the 8-amp circuit breaker and ground circuit is completed
by the operator safety module, the fuel shutoff relay is energized.
2. When the fuel shutoff relay is energized terminals 1-5 and 1-3 are latched providing current to the fuel shutoff
solenoid. When the solenoid is energized the solenoid plunger retracts and allows fuel to flow to the fuel
injection pump. This allows the engine to remain operating."

I will be attentive going through this so that I don't screw things up.
I bought this tractor used about 6 years ago. Low hours and in good shape. The previous owner wired it for a 4 in bucket and disasbled the safety switches except for staring in neutral. I am not really sure how he did this. I looked at one time and good not find any kind of switch under the seat. Not sure what to look for as far as the safety switches but that had crossed my mind.

I was kinda wondering about this but was under the impression that my tractor was before "faults",
Do I have a codes and what is the procedure to read them? 2003 TC45D

Check and wiggle all your levers while trying to start it. The way the safety switches work on my TC40DA is that the HST must be in neutral, the PTO must be disengaged, and the brake must be set or on. You do not have to be in the driver's seat. If not, the tractor will turn over but not start as the fuel solenoid is disengaged. I suspect something similar for the TCXXD series, check your operator's manual. There are a lot of common parts between the TCXX, TCXXD, and the TCXXDA models.

I've got a NH 3040 that is similar to yours. You can rule out the seat safety switch by jumping it as pictured.

The TC45 tractors don’t have an ecu so no trouble codes are generated/set.
