I am strongly considering a new NH TC40DA with 16LA loader and either a Bradco 509 or 408 back hoe for general purpose clearing, trenching, etc.. I am interested in hearing any pros or cons with this tractor and setup, please.

Seems a little small if you have 1000 acres, and a bit large if you have a half acre.

That is to say, perhaps a bit more information, starting with filling in your profile would help us give you useful information.

Sure, in the next year or so I'm going to be digging about 2000 +- ft. of trenches for power, water, drainage, etc. on 3 acres, also some light clearing, burning small stumps, gravel road work, moving some dirt on 10 acres, digging holes for fencing and post for a pole building, planting trees, and general brush clearing and maintenance on same property, plus doing more of the same in the future. None of this on a commercial basis, just for my own pleasure and enjoyment, at my own pace.

I have a TC40DA and it's been a great CUT for me.

We also have a TC40D with SuperSteer, FEL, and BH and have no complaints here.

Helped a friend Sunday who is prepping his lot for a pole barn. The 40D's turning radius w/SS really impressed the other guys.
