new holland tc33
i have a new holland tc33 that want start. i was useing it the other day and ran out of fuel gauge was stuck. so i filled tank up an changed fuel filter.old filter looked fine but thought it was a good time to change. when i took the fuel filter off it maid a sound like it had vaccum on it. filled bowl an opened bleed screw an trun over the motor but nothing.took fuel line loose an had fuel coming to injetion pump. took lines off going up to injectors a turned over motor an i cant get fuel to come out of injector pump. checked fuel cut off valve an it working fine also removed it a felt the pin in side moving. how can you check the injetion pump? took injection pump out of tractor an no visable damage. any help would be great dont know anything else to try.

also tried pumping fuel in to injection pump with a new gardon sprayer with diesel hooked to fitting at bleeder screw. but no fuel would go threw (had switch on while trying an also tried cranking it with that set up but no go)

It sounds like a blockage at injection pump fuel inlet/shutoff passage.

You removed the pump? When you installed it back on the tractor, did you time it correctly? First thing to check is your shut-off-solenoid. That is what stops fuel flow to shut the tractor off. You used a garden sprayer? I hope it was SUPER clean.

with that type of injection pump the timing is set off the crank shaft. an yes i had a brand new sprayer. when i had the injection pump off i took the top 3 outlets off and blow threw with 120 psi air the fuel inlet an had air coming threw it. an when put back together nothing. thanks for your time an help.

When you had the injection pump out did you turn over the engine and make sure the idle shaft the pump works off of was actually turning?

Did you check the shut off solenoid? It is a common thing to go bad, easy to check, fairly cheap, and easy to get to. It should be checked WAY before pulling the pump.

I was goes to ask him how he'd checked the shutoff solenoid, but thought better of it has he seemed pretty sure he'd been there and done that.

So if it's gonna get complicated............

Is the solenoid movement going full travel? Is it a strong movement? Is the button in the pump moving smoothly? Will it pump without the solenoid?

Oooh,
I like that, depending on how the rack on the pump is set up it could enable the pump by just removing the solenoid.

I've never had mine out so I can't say what type of solenoid it is.
But even if it were the push pull type one could manually activate the pump after removing the solenoid.

It's a better idea then continuing to blindly tearing the pump out.
