I am looking at a new 2002 NH TC25D at a local dealer. Price seems competitive at $12,500+- w/ supersteer & HST. I know this is a discontinued model, but would like input as to price, abilites, etc. Plan to get the NH loader, & use a 5' bushhog, 9"auger, boom pole, 24" scoop pan. Am moving from my '53 Ford Golden Jubilee, which is in need of work. Thanks in advance for your input.

( A similarly equipped TC29D would run about $2k more. I plan to use it with a 5' bushhog, a 9" auger, boom pole, etc. )

Ernie this is from the general buying section that I posted to in reply to you,

When I upgraded my TC21D to the TC29D I originally was after the TC25D. The upcharge from the 25 to the 29 was only $400.00 at the time. For me it was a no brainer. The 25 is no longer in production and I believe they would give you a good deal to move that tractor. If I was you, I would update your profile and let us know what area of the country your in. The prices of tractors vary from area to area. Then display your prices and we can tell you if your getting a good deal or not.

Here's mine,

As far as the TC25D it is a good tractor. It is being replaced because competition took them there by offering the TC24D in the class 1 tractor. It is my understanding that the 29 will be going also soon. But to buy that and worry because of problems, I don't think so, it was a long running tractor for them. The competition and the times change, all manufactures change their line up.

Hello,
I bought a 2001 new TC25D with 7308 loader in the spring of 2002. I paid 15500 OTD with 2.9% rate at the time. I now have 78 hrs on it with the only problem being bad diesel when they"courtesy filled" and the infamous battery cottage cheese. Both of these issues were promptly taken care of by my dealer.
I used a 5 ft bush-hog to clear about 4 acres of scrub field with small trees and bushes. Awesome. I currently have a King Kutter 60" RFM. I cut high grass with it and the tractor works a little, cuts just fine. No problem digging/hauling with the fel.
Good Luck.
