Sorry guys, I posted this under the New Member section not realizing what I was doing. Please forgive me for posting in 2 areas. I have a few questions if you guy could help out it would be greatly appreciated!

I'm thinking of purchasing a 2001 New Holland TC21D. It is in very nice shape with 430 hours. It does include a FEL. Lowest price is $8200. Does this seem like a fair/good price. I've seen them listed up to $10,500 (this seems high to me) across the net with a FEL and as low as $6500 without a FEL? I plan on using this for maintaining a 1300' driveway, loader work moving some dirt, firewood, gravel etc.
What size box scrape, or scrape blade would you recommend for a tractor of this size? Do you prefer one to another for driveway maintenance? Thanks in Advance and how all of you have a Happy Thanksgiving!

any thing else i should consider?

Your first implement should be a box scraper with adjustable ripper teeth. As far as size goes, match it to your HP rating and hydraulic lift capabilities and get one that is on the heavy side within your range. Make sure that it is wider than the outside of the tractor's tires for covering over your tracks on each pass. I would stay away from the cheaper models as this attachment needs to work hard for you.
Welcom to TBN and try the search feature as there is plenty pre-posted information concerning your model of tractor for you to research.

Price doesn't sound too bad.

I have a TC-24D. I have a 5' scraper blade and a 5' box blade. Sometimes I have to take smaller bites with the box, but it does Ok with it most of the time. I just have the King Kutter box blade. On the cheaper side of the implements, but for these tractors, they do just fine. It'll stop the tractor dead in its tracks long before I break or bend something.

Does this tractor include a MMM?

The search continues! The dealer is turning out to be a real toolbag. Called him back today begging to give him my money, under one condition. The left lift cylinder has a leak. I kept stopping by this weekend, wiping the cylinder clean, couple hours later, stop again. The leak showed back up. I can tell a wrench has been on the nut on this cylinder, possibly a reseal kit installed wrong? why else would it leak. The right cylinder has never had a wrench on it as all paint is in tact. I just ask they resolve the leak, they want me to purchase the tractor then look into the leak, and I pay the repair? I think this is nuts! Are I wrong for thinking this?

I would surely want it fixed first and so should he. even if you are not the buyer he should want to fix it. It could be something as small as a cracked seal to a worn rod or nicked rod. Tell him to fix it first. Or knock $599 off.

Thanks. Glad to see you see it the way I do. Think I'll check out new Mahindra's as well. I noticed your toy list. Nice bike you have there. Nice to see someone so diverse in all their toys!
