New holland tach problem

I have a new holland workmaster 75 and the tach quit working and the battery indicator light is on. Any idea on what to look? I'm thinking it sound like it may be alternator related, but any ideas and trouble shooting techniques would be appreciated.

by application your tractor is maybe a 2010 year model if so it is possibly alternator related but maybe not completely i see your in the birmingham al area you may want to call southern armature works there phone number is 205-324-6529 talk with charley or junior they are the owners they can test and repair your alt if need to or possibly direct you in another direction about problem

The alternator was the problem. Southern Armature did a great job rebuilding the alternator at a faction of the cost of a new one.
