Sickle Bar New Holland Sickle Bar Mower

I've got a NH Mod.44 sickle bar mower. My knife broke and I bought a new one. The ball on the knife is about 1/8 inch larger than the old ball and I can't latch it. How do I get a matching latch? What model do I have to order parts from? None of the local dealers seem old enough to know.
