Lew, it should say TC40D or TC40DA on both sides of the hood unless something has rubbed the letters off. If you have an HST transmission and a rubber mat on the operator's platform, it is a Deluxe model. The "DA" models started about 2004 and the headlight cutouts are slanted and come to a point on top. Prior to 2004 it was just a "D" model.

Look under your left operator platform at the ID plate on the transmission case. It will have your model number, serial number, and unit number. If you give us the unit number I can tell you the day it was built.

Your tractor was manufactured March 2, 2005. Yes, G609202 is the serial number.

but you have to be careful and get one that matches your tractor.

Yes. Make sure the serial number range on the manual matches your tractor. The manual will say on the cover this is for TC40 tractors with serial # XXXXXXXXX and above.

No, the PIN is not the serial number. I believe it may be another grouping that relates to a publication index or some such nomenclature, but your serial number is the one on the tractor that starts with "Gxxxxxx".
