I learn something new everyday, over on the newagtalk board there was a post about Schwartz loaders and it was discussed that they are now called SMC and are the company that builds loaders for New Holland as well as products for a lot of OEM's including Case-IH, Kioti, Kubota and John Deere. From the looks of their website, the loaders they show in their color and label for the TN looks just like the NH version with possibly just a slight change. It would bring up an interesting situation if you can save some money by buying a SMC instead of the NH loader and have the same loader. Here is the site for SMC

Check out the product pics of the loaders and you will see some NH tractors with the loaders including a 2wd TN. The pictures don't show the loader detail too well but I would love to see some better pics of that loader on the TN.

The 65a backhoe looks exactly like NH backhoe on my TC24d.

The SMC/Rhino 85 backhoe, NH 758C and the Kioti KB2085 are all the same backhoe with differant stickers and paint.
I went with the Rhino 85 and saved a considerable amount of $.
Kioti previously used SMC/Rhino as a backhoe supplier, but their new backhoe models are no longer Rhino.
Attached is a picture of a Rhino 85 on my DK 35

Vince; I was at the NH dealer when they installed the 785 hoe on a new tc 40 da. I wasn't impressed when I asked the salesman to lift the rear tires of the tractor with the use of the backhoe. As he tried the frame mount made alot of noise like it was trying to change positions and he quickly shut the machine down. His reply was " let the new owner try that " It didn't sound good with the bolt on braces it had to hold the main body of the backhoe verticle. Odd thing was he ordered a woods hoe first and when it arrived he felt it was too hard to remove and replace. I saw both hoes side by side and was impressed with the frame mount of the woods sculpted out of heavy gage flat metal. There was no mistake this mount was engineered to perform properly. There are no Rhno dealers in my area. Can you give a ball park price of what you gave? Thanks for the info. jr

The bolts where the subframe mounts to the backhoe kept coming loose every few hours on my Rhino 85 and would make the noises you mention (could not keep them tight) so I welded my bolt on braces to the subframe and backhoe and haven't had any problems with loose/moving bolts or funny noises since.
I got my Rhino 85 backhoe, 18" HD bucket, subframe and hose kit for $5200. ( this price was still in the crate, loaded in my truck, I did final assembly and mounting).
I felt I got an excellant price and so far I really like the backhoe.

Hey guys you're making me a bit paranoid here. Never had any strange noises on our 757C but we have hit it a time or two with the impact to be sure all was snug. Did I say impacts are a lot easier to use than breaker bars and pipes added on the handles for more leverage....

BTW We can pick up the back of our TC-40D and drag it around using the backhoe. Maybe someone should check his relief valve setting.

Mike,
I have no problem lifting my DK 35 with loaded rear tires around with my backhoe either. And most of the time I use the backhoe to shove the tractor ahead when ditch digging (to lazy and usually in to big of hurry to jump from seat to seat to repossision tractor)

I ran a 758 hoe on a 2120 for about 15 years and worked it hard. The 2120 is larger than the TC45 and with loaded tires many more pounds. The 758 mount never gave me one bit of problems and had no trouble lifting either rear tire off the ground. I did this many times to change tires. I never tried to lift the whole rear end, but why would I? I just never wanted to pull the climb onto a railroad car trick with my nachine. lol

Pine Ridge; I don't think there was an issue with enough power to pick the rear wheels off the ground. I think the noise of the braces moving as the hoe flexed convinced the sales person to leave it alone before something happened he didn't want to explain. If it can't lift the tractor for repositioning with the back hoe it is not going to have enough force to do an adequate job digging. Vince; I think you have the right solution. Either weld the brace solid or make a brace out of flat stock that will not loosen often. Now I have to find a Rhino dealer to check this out. Thanks...

It is all about torquing the bolts properly and checking them periodically till they remain torqued. You can't go after these bolts with a 12 inch long ratchet. This applies to the personnel setting them up, too. It is an adequate design if the hardware is tight. If not, it makes noise and stuff moves around, holes get oblong, and the best solution is to then weld it together as suggested.
