New Holland L425 Skid Steer
Just purchased and the seller said the thought it was a hydraulic leak, but from the service manual it appears to be an adjustment issue. Reverse is fine, but you really have to ride the right handle to go straight.

Service manual says Steering lever stop bolt not adjusted correctly or Transmission control linkage loose on pintle shaft. It refers to operators manual to adjust but I don't have that. I does have some leaking fluid, but before I go changing hoses I wanted to see if there might be another solution.

Nope. Buy an operator's manual which will be very useful, and fix the travel issue.

So by "nope", you mean you don't think it is something to do with a fluid leak? ....and trying the fixes in the operators manual should do the trick?

Check tire pressure.

A fluid leak isn't likely to be the cause of uneven top travel speeds, lever adjustment is. Fluid leaks should be fixed anyway. Be careful to end up with the lever/external linkage providing the mechanical stop for full travel. You don't want the swash plate or pintle shaft in the travel pump bottoming out. I can't give detailed, exact info on setting travel stops and neutral settings because its been years since I did one. Besides, you need an op manual anyways.
