New Holland Discount

Has anyone ever heard of New Holland giving discounts to Ford employees? A friend of mine asked me if I new about it because someone he knows told him that is the reason he bought New Holland over the other colors. The guy said he received a 20% discount. Any truth to this?

I've inquired in the past. The discount was 5%, and there is no "friends & family" type sharing of the discount. It was given only to the employee for purchase. I also think the discount was only available for a period of time after the purchase of New Holland by Fiat. I checked last year, but I don't know if it's still available. The "20%" may be list price, less a typical 15% off list for everyday sales, and an additional 5% for the Ford discount?

The discount for ford employees was discontinued about a year to a year and half ago. There is no longer any association between these two companies.

I don't know if you could make this work for you but I stumbled on it by accident. I stopped at a tractor sale and show. (kind of like an auto tent sale) There was a New Holland credit rep. there and I got a $500.00 discount from New Holland for filling out a credit application on the spot. This had nothing to do with the price negotiated with the tractor dealer. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
