I went to test drive a TN4030 at a local New Holland dealer yesterday and found out that they are picking up Mahindra as a second brand to sell for CUTS.
I'm thrilled to hear this because the lesser known brands like Kioti and Mahindra have not gotten much traction around here. Most dealers are small less established shops. We have a very good Kioti dealer around here but he is the only real good Kioti dealer I'm aware of.
For these brands to be a legitimate alternative for me, they have to have a strong dealer network locally with several established dealers. I'd be more comfortable as a new buyer with an established NH dealer carrying them as a second brand.
Given my recent purchase, I'm unlikely to be in the market again for a long long time. That said, the new competition helps everyone. I think NH has made a huge mistake giving up on what was a very good line of tractors that were being supplied from Japan. They have likely forced their dealers into this position but ultimately it might work out better for us buyers.
