new holland 848

Looking to buy a new holland 848 round baler, looking for sone input from y'all like pros and cons.. stock number is 777925... Does this baler have a chain floor or roller? And how does the twine work? And how does hyrdraulic twine tie work? Wondering if it is like a auto tie or what.... Thanks

i dont know how you found a NH 848 that can still bale hay.it has 3 or 4 floor chains if my memory is right.

it has a roller floor two air bags that puts tension and the aporn chains and if it is hyd tie will need to sets of remotes to operate one to open the tailgate the the other to operate the tie arm and the hyd. tie operates when u get a full ball u pull the remote handle the operates the set of remotes u have them to hose pluged into and u just want to bump it a little at the tie so u get a good rap on the bale and you move it back to open by pulling the handle the other way

down here in southwest louisiana i can take u with in a 50 mile radius and show u 10 to 15 848-853 nh round balers still baling i know one man that had on from brand new until last year when i sold it for him who baled atleast 400 rolls a year with it for his own cows and the guy i sold it to baled about 250 with it last year

i wish i could find one with a little problems that i could pick up for cheap since i dont need it and fix in my spare time at my shop just so i could have a spare baler incase something happens to my 648 i really like the little 848 baler i will bale just as nice of a bale as a belt baler expaclly if u have auto wrap and don't have near the amount of mantaince to do on it
