Anyone know how to check the gear oil in this attachment? Like where the level should be and what type of oil to add? Thanks!

Typically, there is a recessed Allen head plug on the top and bottom to fill and drain the gearbox. There maybe an access hole on the mounting plate for bottom plug. If not, instead of disassembly, try a suction gun to remove as much oil as possible. Fill with 80/90 gear oil to slightly above half way. If the oil removed was real ugly, consider a second change after 5 to 10 hours

Gear oil is currently about 1inch form the top of the exterior of the gearbox. Too much? I had downloaded the manual last year but apparently didn't save it to my cloud storage prior to getting a new phone, now the place that has it is having difficulty with online payments, so the whole $2 it would cost to purchase it isnt currently an option.

Probably not too much. You need an air gap above the oil for expansion. Dip a screwdriver to see the condition of the oil, cloudy, replace, clear, run with it.

If this is a typical right angle gearbox, an inch from top is too much. It should be closer to half full. That's where most gear boxes have the level plug.
