Good morning,
I have a NH 311 small square baler. I've had some minor issues in the past with knots pulling through and found that 7200 twine works best for me so that is all i use now. I do have the manual but sometimes i have a hard time making heads or tails of it. On one side of the knotter (the right side if you are standing behind the baler), i'm having two issues that will cause me to miss about 1 in 30 bales. Each problem seems to happen as often as the other. One problem is where there is a proper knot BUT the string side towards the back end of the baler (the #1 string?) will break exactly at the base of the knot. My second issue is that I will find the #2 string has a single strand knot on it and the #1 string has nothing; like it forgot to include both strings in the knot. The problem does not change with 30 lb bales or 50 lb bales. Does this point to anything in particular? Thank you for your help. I can include some pictures from the manual later today for troubleshooting if that helps.
