Hello all. I have been lurking here for a while. Although I am new to the forum I have been around tractors and other heavy equipment since I was born, of course that wasnt too long ago as I am 18. First off I would like to say how jealous I am of all you with your new tractors. I guess i should be thankful that i even have a tractor. My grandparents moved off their farm and gave me their JD 750. I guess its about an 85 or so. Maybe one day i will get to have one of the new guys. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif just thought i would introduce myself, seems like a good bunch of ppl on here.

Welcome - I haven't been around all that long myself. I am a new owner and its my 1st tractor. We all learn here, and we all share - you're right - it's a great web site. Congratulations on what you do have - It's a lot more than I had at 18 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Take care and post often!

Welcome Wes. I was around tractors for years at your age, and then got away from them and now I'm back! I wish I had HAD a tractor at 18. Life would have been a lot different if I'd had one to keep me occupied! Welcome to TBN and I hope you'll post some pictures of you using your tractor. We LOVE pictures here. Don't worry, if you live, and you still want one, you'll get a new tractor. Just remember that there are a lot of things you DON'T need and if you keep the money you would spend on them, you can have a new tractor sooner than later. Remember, we want some pics! John

Welcome to TBN! The 750 is a good tractor. Heck at 18 if you started off with a new tractor you would be spoiled. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I cut my teeth on my grandfathers old C Farmall. When I was a teen my dad bought a Allis Chalmers 5015 and then later traded up to a Deutz Allis 5220. When I moved out and bought a place of my own I started with a Yanmar 1500 and bought and sold until I got tired of buying and selling and ending up with a small dozer and a new John Deere 4310 as of last November and I am 34. Have fun on the 750. With a smaller older tractor you learn all the tricks and short cuts to getting the maximum amount of work out of the machine and then you will be really good with a new tractor.
