I posted on an older thread and wanted to start my own. the wife and I are in the process of building a new home in N.Carolina along with a new pole building. Its 30x50x10 from National Barn Co.
I have also looked at the pre-fab buildings but picked this one for the main reason we live 400 miles from the build site and having someone build it for me is my only option right now. The Building will be deliverd to the site this Saturday and will be erected this next week. Here is what the excavation looks like and I will post pictures of it going up.

We bought this place in 92 when land was a steel, put a road in and set up camp with a 30 travel trailer on blocks with a porch on it. Basicly a place to get away. last fall we (well she because I have been ready to go years ago) finaly decided it was time to build and get out of Florida.
We had a 20 acre fenced in plot down here and rasied a few beefmasters to keep the ag-exempt that we sold to basicly finance this project. The house was started in May and is coming along. Since these were taken the roof and siding is done and the tounge and groove under the porch has been installed. Here are a few pictures of it.
