Greetings All:
I came across this dated post which has provided some great in-depth information via photos of the insides of a 755-injector pump.
My 755 injector pump has VERY!! slight fuel seepage out of one of the pumps fittings. This fitting is 1 of 3 (a 3-cylinder pump) where one end of it screws into the pump housing the other end attaches to the high-pressure fuel line going to the injector.
The fuel is seeping out where the fitting screws into the pump housing.
Getting any specific information on this pump is most challenging.
I see in the photos listed by
Cw021382 posted here there is what looks like a simple O-ring on the threaded portion body that screws into the pump housing. I assume this O-ring needs replacing.
Before I take the fitting out, I am wondering if this is simple job to replace the O-ring. As in remove the fitting, replace the O-ring and reinstall.
This post writes about removing the plungers from the seals and causing damage. I assume if careful one will not disturb the plunger/seal.
The tractor runs fine now and has been for a long time even with this seeping issue. I don't want issues by trying to fix it and causing damage by turning a minor issue into something larger.
Thanks.
