IH 424
Hi. I'm John. I have a 1966 IH 424 that I inherited after my dad passed. I have replaced the brakes and the clutch disc/pressure plate/throw-out bearing. I have a question but want to post it in the correct area. Can anyone direct me? Thanks and looking forward to learning about how to work this fine machine.

John

:welcome:Glad to have you join us, John.

And for a question related to your IH 424, go to the Case-IH forum. You may find a thread there that already has the answer you're looking for, and of course, you can start your own new thread with your question.

And yes, I think the IH 424 is a fine machine.

Thanks, Bird.
Dad had this for years but I was busy with school, work, marriage, family, etc. that I never really learned much about it. Now, I have to take care of my folks place in Miss. (I'm in Louisiana) and feel like being thrown into the water to learn how to swim (sink or swim). If that makes any sense.
I saw the CaseIH forum after I had posted but then saw other forums that may address it too. I will try Case first and go from there.
Thanks again for the welcome and look forward to getting and, if i can, giving some good advice.

John, it's true that many questions/discussions could appropriately fit in more than one forum. It might be a brand specific question, but of course, it could also be a hydraulic matter, or it might fit in the parts/repair forum, etc. In those cases, just pick the one you think it fits best. We do NOT want duplicate questions in multiple forums though. If something gets in the wrong forum, some member will undoubtedly notify the moderators and it's no big deal for one of us to move it.

Okay, thanks.
I did post my question in the CaseIH forum since it was something I was wondering whether it was normal for my model tractor. Appreciate the help and will try not to mess up too much on the forum.

John
