Tractor
Case 580ck
Hello everyone. I recently found the forum trying to find information on my newly acquired, first tractor, an older Case 580ck.

Hoping to learn a bit about it and maybe seek some advice.

I'm an active member of many other forums out there, cars, trucks, boomboxes..... but this is my first tractor forum. Hoping to find a nice home here as well. Thanks for having me.

Welcome to TBN, trippy. I didn't know there was a boombox forum....I guess there is a forum for everything.

Welcome to TBN, I have an old boom box, but it's not flashy enough for me to join a forum :)
Let's see some tractor pictures and where are you located approximately?

I'll try to post some pictures. It's one I got for free, but needs some work of course. Brought her back to life, but she's still a ways away from fully functional.

I'm out in Enumclaw, Washington state.

And as far as boomboxes go, I'd be curious to see what ya got, lol, but I found that place looking to fix up one of mine as well, then ended up finding a few more I liked.

Not sure if my picture attachments will work but here it is.

Based off the serial I believe it's a 1970 580CK. 2wd gas with a draft-o-matic hitch?

Looks like a nice and very viable project from the pics. I would cover the battery though, spanner across terminals while entertaining is not a good way to start the day.
Nice background too, good luck with it, looks good for a 1970 model. Certainly built tough.

I have the cover for the battery, I was just diagnosing my intermittent crank issue, found out I have a bad connection between the positive cable and the clamp. Gotta clean it up then put the cover back on.

I'll probably be posting up with some help needed on my 3-point hitch issue. Finally got the thing to idle without the choke, and the front loader is working, now I'm on the rear hydraulics, then pto, and then want to improve the brakes.
