Welcome, I have a rtv500 with about 500 hours on it and have had zero problems with it. I also plow snow with it up to about 8 inches depending how wet or dry it is, after that I use the tractor. It's not a speed demon but very reliable. The vht takes a little getting use to, it's not like a automatic in a car you don't need to floor it to get it going, a gradual throttle up will do the job. I bought a soft cab years ago and a 12 volt heater, believe me you'll need something to block the wind in January.
