new gate in the fence

We have been so busy with little league that our yard was starting to look really bad. We have had a game everyday for the last 11 days. We got home the last night at 8:30 so I decided to take advantage of what day light we had left. I was mowing and it got dark so I turned on the head lights and kept mowing. Our back yard has a steep hill and at the bottom is our fence for our pasture. The tractor started to roll down hill towards the fence so I was meaning to stomp the brake hard but instead I hit the hydrostat pedal and went through the fence. My wife has always said a gate back there would be handy now we have one. I was very lucky I didn't get hurt and the tractor has a real small dent in the grill. Could be worse.

Sorry to hear about your mishap. Hitting the wrong pedal can be quite scarry. I've done it, and hope it never happens again!!! Did you take any pics of the damage? Might make a good post on putting in a new gate.

I did the same thing when the hydro was new to me, only i did not make a new gate , i just needed to preplace some siding on the house /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
