I have ben getting ideas from your posts for a good while. decided it was time to join. grew up on a farm, 707 ac in all tember and pasture- hay looking folward to joining in the fun

I once lived near Grottoes up near the SNP....really miss the valley.

Welcome... Just up the road at Staunton. I go through Mt. Crawford all the time. You get more rain than we do most years. Southern Valley is semi-arid on some climate maps. Your area, tho, is prime country.

I don't know that I like one part of the central valley better than another. staunton is a beautifull "town" used to live near grottoes in port republic thanks for the welcome.

WOW, 700 acres....wacha do with all that land? timber....crops....hunt clubs?
My 70 is just to watch deer/turkey and retire to. Having fun so far.[/I:tractor:]

We had a little over 100 brood cows, black angus, plus bulls and calves. that took up about 200 ac and the other 500 was timber. I miss it

Thanks for the welcome everyone I think this is going to be fun. Not the same kind of fun as tilling the garden and such but fun.
