Hello there, I am from New Brunswick, Canada and :)new to the site, in the market for a new tractor. I am thinking of buying a new LS. Tired of fixing my 1958 Farmall! The LS here in NB are certainly cheaper, can get a new one for same or less than the second hand competition. Any reason not to purchase an LS? Would be looking at the 38 HP model. Any feedback would be appreciated the last thing I want to do is spend money I don't have on something that is going to be broke half the time.

Perhaps this may be helpful. Go to the SEARCH section here on TBN and type in LS tractor forum. Hopefully you will find info there. :tractor::welcome:

Welcome. LS might be right for you, but you need to look at everything available to find out. There are tons of threads here asking for help finding the right tractor and feel free to start your own with a list of your needs and uses, I know you'll get lots of feed back.

I also believe the dealer is as important as the tractor so you need to go talk to a bunch of them.

I'm partial to Kioti, for me it's the perfect tractor. I'd suggest including them in your search. Having said that, I'd start from scratch and sit on every tractor again if I was lucky enough to be buying another new tractor!

welcome to the page.
I agree with what is said about sitting on other tractors and that the dealer/support is just as important as the brand. There are a lot of machines out there, read about the good and bad that people have to say about the differant brands here. If you feel comfortable about a dealer and the machine than you have made the right decission.

Thanks everyone, great group glad I joined! Went hunting today price-wise seems to be between JD and LS. JD has 0% financing..LS 7.1 % though 2 grand cheaper.....:D:D. One dealer told me that LS has making New Holland for years, they are the same tractor....that makes me feel better about LS if this is accruate....;)

Welcome to TBN, there are quite a few Canadians on the various forums. I am partial to Kubotas, but everyone seems to make really good tractors now, so it is hard to go wrong, just fine one that fits you.

Thanks I ended up with a Bobcat CT335, I am happy with it so far though only about 10 hours on her so far. Seems much lighter than the 1958 McCormick Farmall 350 but maybe I can add some weight to the tires. Oh and thanks to Kiotiken as I took his advice and called Kioti...stopped over and they had a leftover Bobcat that they wanted to get rid of so got more options, bigger tractor for same price..

Congrats on the new tractor! Let's see some pics. I'd recommend loading the tires, my dealer loaded mine for me so I don't know what my CK 30 (CT230) would be like without it, but I find the tractor very heavy with as much traction as the tractor needs. Having the BH on helps and brings it to around 6500lbs.
