After enjoying TBN for several months and learning a lot, I think that we could use a new forum called "Towing and trailers" or something similar. It would deal with questions on towing, trailers, brake controllers, hitches, brakes, axles, trailer lighting, ramps, etc. There seems to be lots of questions every month on these subjects, but they tend to get scattered all over the site. A Kubota owner posts his towing question on the Kubota site, JD owners on the JD forum, etc.

What you grizzled veterans think?? Some of you have seen the same questions get asked every season for years now.

I agree with you it would help a lot of people.

Timing is everything. I just posted a few comments on the future of towing (non-commercially) and the possibility of future restrictions and/or laws. (In this same forum)

This is, and will become even more of a topic of interest as time goes on. It may well be time for a new forum.

I agree also. I'd like to see a towing / trailer thread just for those with trailer / towing questions so we wouldn't have to look at each brand of tractor to see if someone has a trailer question. I thought the updated forum would have included / added that.

If I had a vote, it would be a resounding YES YES YES (Oops, must have been a hung chad in my keyboard).

My trailer tag is "I-HAUL" so of course I would enjoy a new forum on that subject. We could type about trailers, trucks and why Ford makes the best one for towing...(asbestos underwear is ON).

tee, he, he

You own a Ford!!!! Check your profile. Where did that comment come from??

Fords have incredible towing power. If you want proof, go look at my recent post about "towing a cow on an open trailer". I haven't seen many Chevy's or Dodge's post pix like that lately.

Before anyone turns up the valve on their flamethrower, go look at the pix first.............

My truck is a Dodge. The Ford I own is a 75 3000 diesel tractor.

Oh, and by the way, I was just funnin'! Got to poke those Dorf owners with a sharp stick everynow and again.

I aint seen no Fords break in to the 10 second range either. Seems all the competitive race trucks have a Cummins in them! Seems to me that Banks Dakota went 220mph or so with a Cummins. That, after hauling the rest of thier race gear in a trailer behind the race truck! I aint seen no Power Stroke or Duramax going 200mph... (-: :)

Alright that's enough. The ORIGINAL post was about TRAILERS. Go highjack a post on another website.
I agree that a Trailer and Towing forum would be very useful. Just wanted to get my vote in.
