Over the years we have tried to keep the number of individual forums on TractorByNet limited, in part because the more forums we have, the more time it takes to browse and filter through forums to find what you're looking for. Also, we'd rather see fewer, more active forums than a lot of inactive forums.
Despite those efforts to limit the number of forums, we have given in to many requests for new topics and now have more than 120 different forums! :ashamed:
So, I have come up with a new feature that should help reduce some of the clicking, and give you a quicker way to look at recent discussions in certain topic areas.
New Forum Channels
These new forum channel are single page displays of posts from multiple forums. Example Forum Channels (click to see how it works):
Lawn & Garden
Ag Tractors
Vintage Tractors
Construction
ATVs & UTVs
As you see, the channels we have made are mainly for the related topic discussions that might have 5-6 forums, but not all that many daily posts.
We haven't yet added the channel tabs to the main navigation, but please use the links above to check it out and let me know what you think. If the feedback is good, we'll implement it on the entire forum.
