Kioti EX5310
Just taken ownership of a new EX5310 tractor in Tasmania

First impressions were generally positive however i have a slight issue with the gear shifts being very finnicky/stiff/tight to change. Similarly the shuttle shift and accelerator lever are very tight and don't seamlessly glide or move smoothly.

Is this something to be expected with a new Tractor (Only 3 hours on it) or should i have the dealer look at it?

It ought to ease up through use; my range selector was rough at first and is easing up little by little.

Mine has 60 hours on it and the gear shift has not really eased up yet. My range selector is a bit better. It is mainly used for slashing so not too many gear changes. Shuttle shift is pretty much ok. The hand throttle is very stiff so I use the foot accelerator to get to the revs I want and adjust the hand throttle then, its much easier. How do you go with the engine noise, mine is very loud., have to wear earmuffs allthe time

Ok i might give it a few hours of wearing in the gears to see if they soften up.

Ill give a few more impressions over the long weekend when i can actually do some work, but i did notice it was slightly loud. I would normally wear earmuffs anyway depending how long im sitting down though.

One thing I found with Kioti is that everything is tightened down hard. Takes a major effort to undo the original filters etc. Don't know if that causes the problems with the gearshifts though. Might be worth looking at. Let me know if you come up with a solution.

Can you change range while the tractor is moving?

Also are you able to change gears and range with the same clutch depression or do you need to change them sequentially (ie gear first and then range)?

It's unrelated but, g'day Cobber and welcome to TBN from Tassie.

Enjoy the site from wherever you are.

Ahh... (updated location) you're a fellow Taswegian!

I think I can change both with the same depression, never thought about it, but reckon I would've noticed. Its raining now but will try next time I can get it out. Did you get the tyres filled, makes it feel so much more secure on slopes.

Give it a go when you next try, book says you should do them separately. When I try to combine actions I can hear the gears crunch on the range selection

I haven't just yet, I'm wondering if it's something I should get done. I live on a slight incline but it seemed ok and confidence inspiring

A couple of things I need to get replaced from dealer, a couple pins have rusted and nuts missing. Nothing major but just oversights from our dealership
