The dealers all get the same price from new holland on compacts the only difference would be in freight charges and those only have a difference from closest to plant to farthest away of no more than 300.00 New england dealers have always gotten more than southern dealers I dont know why but they do.

The rates mark quoted are a program that is not advertised. Sometimes they are regional but I am not sure about this one.

As stated earlier in this thread...for better or worse, we New Englanders, especially MA, CT...have a very high cost of living. This translates through everything along the way.

I'll bet that a employee of a NH tractor dealer in MA costs more for pay and benefits, than a similar employee in another part of the country. This isn't to take anything away from that second employee...its just that we are forced to pay more for employees because they need more to live here. Local dealers need to charge a bit more to make the profit.

We pay more for real estate, more for insurance, and more for just about everything.

I live in CT and that's exactly what my dealer told me. I understand it to some point. There's so little AG stuff left in NE I decided to pony up a couple extra grand to help the cause.
