Hey BC folks,
I've been to the Bobcat website and done searches there and on the 'net, and could not find the exact answers, so maybe one of you could answer or confirm a few current Bobcat details. (I'm thinking about a purchase; there are dealers near me, and also some used ones available from private parties):
.

  1. - Looks like current warranty is 1-year? Is it longer for the drivetrain?
  2. - Is warranty transferable from private party to new owner?
  3. - Bobcat site list special offers (free loader and rebates) from Feb through April 2012. Does anyone know where I can find a breakdown of this special offer by tractor model? (e.g. I'm looking at the CT122 and the CT235... Each would have advantages for my property/needs.)
.

Thanks for your response or pointers to info sources. :) Any other tips/ideas you have are fine to offer up as well (I've been reading the BC and other forums.)

The warranty for a new Bobcat tractor is 3 years, the first 2 years is bumper to bumper on the tractor its self and the 3rd year is parts and labor on the power train. Now keep in mind these are limited warranties, we always recommend you read the warranty policy.

The CT122 does not qualify for the free loader program. It has a 0% for 60 months or a rebate of $1,250 in lieu of financing.

The CT235 does. The loader that qualifies has a pin on style buckest. It may be an additional charge for the Quick tach set up. That is up to you and your selling dealer.
The 235 has
0% for 60 months or
Free loader (pin on bucket) or
$1,800 Cash in lieu of financing
You do not get a free loader and a rebate. It will be one or the other.

Thanks for all the good info Wallace.

Either I'm not as sharp at navigating the 'net, or Bobcat needs to make that warranty info (specifically for their compact tractor line) more easily locatable on their website. I followed the "warranty" link, and it listed "compact tractors", but did not have the detail you provided (which is a much better sounding warranty).

Do you know, if I buy used (for a private party 2010 CT235) if there is any warranty remaining (which there may not), is it transferable?

Also, very good detail on the loader/rebate. I sorta' figured you wouldn't get both (though I think there were some great deals like that from BC a few years back.. wish I could jump in the Wayback Machine, and make a purchase!)

If were getting in the Wayback machine, I'm driving this time!
You can email me the serial number and we will check to see if there is warranty still remaining. The warranty is transferable. It needs to be done through a Bobcat dealer.

I would not buy the pin on, the extra money a quick tach style costs is worth every penney

Wallace cannot say it without sounding self serving, but I am pretty sure he would agree.

I can say....Every machine that has a quick tach available from the manufacture. Gets one if it's coming to my lot!!

It is not worth to get a pin on...you'll just end up replacing it in the future. Save yourself the trouble and get it now.

Does anybody get a vehicle without cruise control now a days???
