Krafty is right, you would need a tractor in the 40hp range to lift that slab outright. If you just need to move the granite you might lift one end, slide a skid under it and then manuver the whole slab onto the skid so you can pull it to where you want. Using something like an old automobile hood as a skid is one thought.

I figured it was about 1500 lbs anyway, Maybe granite weighs more then concrete.. A cubic foot of concrete weighs 150 lbs, that one should be about 10 cu ft or 1500lbs.. I have the exact same type of slabs littered all over my property from the previous owner.. My tractor will move them but i have the Woods 1012 loader on my ck30.. I have some over 8ft by 12" by 20" . When i picked up a 8 ft piece on my toothbar i had 3 people sit on my ballast box to keep the rear on down just to move it.. I wouldnt recomend making a habit of it though.. :)

I have found that operating between 2000 and 2500 rpms is good, depending on whether I want it to lift more or slow down for precision. I would also check your hydraulic fluid to make sure you have enough.

In my avatar is over 800 lbs of hardwood that I lifted to almost full height into a dump truck and I loaded it like that 9 times within about 2 hours.

Randy,

What RPM are you running at? As Killowatt pointed out, the CK20 needs some RPMs to get the blood flowing. I run mine with the hand throttle set at 2000 RPMs for most of my work. I seldom use the foot throttle.

Here's a thought as to the loader problem, and I owned a CK20 and now have a CK30. One day when useing the loader on my 30, it suddenly had little to no bucket curling power no matter what the RPM was. Called dealer, took it in and pulled the bucket rams apart and found the factory had "rolled" the seals on one ram when they assembled them at the factory and pressure was just circulating past it when under pressure, this is only a long shot but maybe worth checking.
