BX25D1
Hello all,

I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a 2015 Kubota BX25D1 with a 60" deck, 3 point hitch, and grass catcher as options... My 1985 Deutz (like a Simplicity Sunstar) finally asked for his social security.

I've got some work to do around my building and have sat on this idea of doing my own light excavation work for about a year... I think this little tractor is the E-ticket ride :)

So far, the only plans for it are the piranha blade, some LED work lights, the skid plate, bolt on hooks for the front blade, and down the road a post hole digger.

Nice to meet everyone here,

Jason

Welcome and nice machine you'll love it. Great start on implements. Hate to say it but snow removal will be around the corner, more implements, again.

Yeah I was wondering how effective the front loader is with snow... I have a Jeep, but I feel that front loader will help immensely after the snow plows have done their work on our county road, the embankments are sometimes 3' high due to the drifts we have across the field + whatever the plows add to it to make sure our road is clear.

When I was a kid, my best friend's dad would show up at our property in a 1948 Willy's Jeep with a plow on the front, he would do our drive for us... I'm hoping to surprise our next-door neighbors (who sometimes mow our front yard and road area out of kindness) should it snow bad again this year and clean up their drive for them :)

Welcome! Be careful, tractor implements, tractor mods, tractor forums, and tractor videos are addictive! I'm on step 1, admitting I have a problem.

:welcome:
To TBN Jason and welcome to Orange. You normally don't get that much snow now but with the mini "Ice Age" coming in 10 years, you might want to get a cab.

Welcome from the Adirondacks. :welcome: I have basically the same implements, minus the PH digger. Too many rocks here in the mountains for anything other than a backhoe. Enjoy your machine.

Congrats Rusty. I just picked up a BX25 a couple of weeks ago and have put the Piranha tooth bar and bolt on hooks as well. Very worth while purchases. Only put about 9 hours on, but sure beats a shovel and wheelbarrow any day!

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

Enjoy the site.

Welcome, and be sure to check out BX25D owner and modder par excellence Paul Short, otherwise known as 4shorts. He has removed most of his posts/videos here on TbN, but just find him on YouTube, and sit back, learn and enjoy. He has probably done anything worth doing on a BX25D, and done it well! With LED work lights so cheap on eBay, there's no excuse to not light up the night.

Welcome. They are a workhorse of a tractor. At one time there was a "problem" in that the front axles were not filled completely. It is easy to overlook in the excitement of new tractor. If you don't mind, give yours a check and let us know.

Thanks again!

Saw the videos by Paul, I really like the front LED mounts and rear light guards.

Will be sure to check the front axle fluids!

Congrats!

Picked up one myself in the early winter; used the loader to move back a winters worth of snow banks/plow pilings and was very impressed. Since then it has received BXpanded armor, tooth bar, a 48" brush hog and a hitch attachment for the three point so I can move trailers, etc around in our driveway and yard. The backhoe has knocked out a whole bunch of what were previously "I wish" projects into "why not?" ones. Just wish I would have bought one previously.

Enjoy.

rear snow blower. I have a 50" Farm King snow blower and it does a great job pushing back piles of snow. Better than a FEL in my opinion.
