New BX25?

I stopped by my local Kubota dealer and might I say one of the larger ones here where I live and I asked if they had any BX25's and I was told by the sales guy that for sure Kubota has not released any yet, he must not be a TractorByNet reader however the sales guy was a very nice and I am sure they he does not keep track of models and release dates like someone that wants to purchase one. I did however check out the BX24 and it is an awesome machine. I asked for a price on the 24 and I was told $17,700.00 with a 60 mmm. Does this sound like a fair price for the consumer and/or the dealer? Pardon me Peter I am not trying to hijack this discussion in anyway, you do have a great tractor I just wish they were at the dealers by me already.

I paid $17,000 for my BX24 with 60" mmm two months ago here in Maryland. Your price doesn't sound too far off.

Dont let him forget about the $600 factor to dealer incentive that should still be in effect (not sure though). I paid $15,905 before tax and setup ($155) for BX 24 and 60MMM in June. But, mine had the reinforced plastic floorboard and good seat. They should be getting rid of them to make room for new models. The pricing was the only reason I dared not wait for the 25 model. I estimate I saved about $1,900 (12%) by going with the 24.

Not any more. Kubota does not typicaly discount old models, the new ones are usually more expensive so the old pricing for the older model is usually enough to move them.

txkevin,
That is a big difference, like almost $1500.00 the way I see it. If I could find a BX24 for $15,905 w/60mmm with a setup for of $155 I would buy one now without waiting too provided it has the new floorboard with support brackets and the corrected cover below the dash covering the battery area. I guess time will tell with what I end up with, I am sure the BX25's will be FULL price without any chance a even few hundred off for some time.

I went out today and checked out the BX25. This BX has all the bugs worked out as far as I can tell and it has a metal hood, fender and floor pan. Living up north I am a bit worried about the plastic and the cold after the warranty runs out. The battery screen even has retaining clips at the bottom like the BX2660. It looks very solid and ran great. I did the forward then reverse to stop test and no jerking at all, none! The loader moved, but slowly at idle but it did move. This will be my choice after I do my due diligence by price checking apples to apples, three quotes. The first was $17,950.00 with turfs and the 60 mmm.

I would assume so, I did not ask how much the tph arms were but I do know they are extra $

My tph arms were $229 Canadian - I have ordered them but they're not here yet.

Just a personal observation, but I have no objections to the plastic after the support retrofit. I recently slid sideways into a concrete pillar. The plastic fender got some minor scratches that I sanded and polished out good as new in a few minutes. Metal would have bent and would have required repainting. Since I'm a rather amateurish "Panel Beater", repairing a metal fender would have been much more difficult.
I did break that $30+ tailight lens though.

BTW, the floor pan has always been metal.
After all the warrantied updates, my only complaint with the BX24 is with the sudden reverse stop. I occasionally scuff up a spot in the grass particularly when backing downhill and then going forward.

when they say the 3 point hitch is an option , does this mean you dont get the cardboard box full of parts or the parts on the tractor or both?

Here's a photo of the three point hitch as it came without the option kit:

Thanks for the info about the three point option and the picture, I know this is an option on the BX25 but I did not know the Bx24 floor pan was metal, that makes me want to lean towards the BX24 if it were not for the jerking coming out of reverse. The BX25 has no jerking at all or at least the one I tried last Saturday.

For me ten percent more for the one that doesn't jerk me about was worth it - even without all the other smaller upgrades thrown in. I was tamping down some fill by going to and fro on it and really appreciated the smooth operation. My back is such that I have to limit my time on the machine as it is, to avoid having to take an easy day to let my back settle down. I love my projects and hate to have to down tools and try to do nothing.

Its not metal. Since the stay kits came out we've not had any break though.

The floorpan is indeed metal. Always has been. I know, I got the first one from my dealer in 2006. The rear fender assembly that attaches to the metal floorpan is plastic. That's where mine cracked and was susequently replaced and had the support update installed and battery cover and lever handles replaced and.......blahblahblah.

By the way Kubota paid for all of it and now its great........No mechanical problems though in 440+ hours!

Yes, Mine is medal and the stay kit is to support the first part of the plastic fender that it is bolted to it. A magnet does stick to the floor pan it's self.

Are most of the mechanical parts still interchangeable on the BX series?

For instance... will the R4 tires and rims of the BX 25 fit the BX 24, 23, and 22?

If the R4's are interchangeable, I think I should pick up an extra set... someone said around $300???
