WHOA:(
Was doing an early 10 hr oil change in my week old BX24 and discovered the air cleaner end cap UPSIDE DOWN and not sealed well to the canister:eek:
Don't know if it left the factory this way or the dealer screwed with it during his pre-delivery inspection. I am very glad my first 10 hours were in wet conditions, no dust and I found it so soon or I'd be really upset:mad:

If you have a new BX24 you might want to take a peek:cool:

PS- I always do a very early, say 10 hours or 200 mile oil change in everything I buy, have never had internal engine trouble...so does it help? Who knows but it can't hurt.

kick the dealers back end. thats really poor. the first thing we do is check the air filter on pd because years ago i had a run of machines come though without air filters. i don't know if it was from the factory or (more likely) the spare parts dept had borrowed one when they where out of stock and forgot to replace it.
on another note, apparently the 1st lot of oil in running in oil. i personally say leave it in for 50hrs. but thats only my opinion. do what works for you.

Well there is also the issue of the factory-fill having mega amounts of anti-wear, break-in additives. I saw it recommended elsewhere that if you change out your factory-fill early like this that you should mix in a bottle of GM's EOS.
