yup- just like other posters says, check cupped washer is pressing on blade side, not bolt side. make sure the bolt is properly torqued.
double check and make sure the belt tension shaft is taking grease.

I hate bring up a old post, but did the OP find anything to help? Mine started doing the same thing. It's getting bad, didn't do it before.

I took it off last night and went out of town today, so I haven't went over it yet.
Yes I did read you post and well be doing as you said. For some gut feeling I think it might be grass built up in the deck.
I'm going to adjust like the book wants you to and go from there. I well surely be rereading your post. If I find out something, well be back.
